- RobocopExplorerI was looking for average price and maximum return when I bought my original Brake Buddy. I know folks don't like the extra step or two to hook it up but I have found no issues so far. As Bumpy offered, it is not progressive braking but mine comes on when I really need it and has never let me down.
- conmotoExplorerI have the Blue Ox Patriot system and my next one will be Ready Brake. There is just too much messing around with the Patriot. It works but has been back to the factory twice and I would much prefer just hooking up the cable on a Ready Brake.
- BumpyroadExplorerI have and liked the old original metal box brake buddy. some of the newer ones computerized, etc., I read do not hold the setting when you reinstall it, etc. whereas my old one was mechanical and it did. thought the newer one would be a little more of a pain.
you will hear whining here from folks who don't use one about not progressive braking, etc. I just set mine so that it comes on with moderately severe braking as I don't want the toad stopping the MH.
