I agree, but my manual says that a brake system such as readybrake would invalidate the hitch warranty. They say it puts undue stress on the hitch. I made this decision 3 years ago, and have an extended warranty.
Ummmmmmm......first I've heard of such a thing and if valid, you'd think you'd be hearing of many failures by now.
I agree it doesn't make any sense, but I did what I thought was best at the time. By the way, called BB, and will go to Emporia, Ks., within a week to have them check it out since I only live a couple hours away. They do walk-ins, and it takes about 1 hour. I was hoping they would just replace it, but not yet! :(
