brake buddy

I have used Brake Buddy for several years and no problems. Easy to move from one vehicle to another.

i bought a used one, and the compressor went south in about 2 months...bought a new one....don't think I would buy another used one...put the $ toward a new one...also there are numbers on a silver tag and if you will call those numbers into Brake Buddy they can tell you the manufacture date...good luck

I believe you are mistaken....... Brake Buddy now has a proportional braking system.

We have used a Brake Buddy system for 10 years and have only had one minor problem .............. a small retaining spring broke........ easily fixed with a trip to Ace hardware.

Seven years of service from our BrakeBuddy and no problems. Easy to put in and take out.

Early Brake Pro had problems and had a name change to something like Easy Brake once they worked out the problems.

I had a Brake Pro for about 4 years when it failed.

I would not recommend one.

When you read this stuff, it makes for a good reason why one should look at a fool proof system like ReadyBrake, so one is not depandant on software design or other electronic stuff that can fail mysteriously. Since ReadyBrake is fully mechanical, it is easy to inspect, so you know you can depend on it. It will also be less expensive than any other braking system. A quick search will show many satisfied users here, including myself.

We had a Brake Buddy for years. We had 2 problems:

1) small split in the plastic air hose at one end. Easy fix.
2) Twice an internal bolt came loose--we thought the compressor had died, but it was just the bolt that connects the piston to the motor had fallen off. Again, an easy fix.

The unit comes apart and reassembles quite easily.

We were quite happy with it but now tow a 4 jeep and now also have a DP with air brakes so now we use Roadmasters Invisibrake which operates directly from the DP's air brake system.
