Obviously, I disagree. My point is; in many if not most of the scenarios presented, by the time the driver's foot hits the brake pedal he (or she) has already hit and/or run over the obstacle that suddenly appeared in front of the vehicle. Auxiliary braking or the lack thereof has not even come into play yet.
THAT is my point. No more, no less. Just that, nothing else.
Therefore, IMO, such scenarios are fallacious.
