Bringing a generator with to a FHU campground?

I have a generator built into my class A. Last year, I was getting ready to go home and the campground lost power. The generator allowed me to bring the slides in and get the rig ready to go home. The power was still out when I left.

I agree with you under normal conditions. But if the park loses power I have no issues if someone uses their inverter genset

X-2, Class C, Gen is built in, only had power go out once in a FHU CG, glad we had it.

I generally leave my generator in the back of the truck for the camping season, rather than loading it in and out depending on where we are going.. so, yes, I have it along even on FUH campgrounds.

I guess this brings up a question I have about what a camp ground would do if they lost 120VAC power for long periods of time. I have never been at campground that lost power for long length of time yet. Most everywhere we go here on the East side of the US all seem to have generator run time restrictions in place. I have not found any public place that allowed the generator to run after 8PM at night.

I am assuming the campground would allow anyone to use their generator if they lost commercial power??? Maybe they just don't enforce the NO generator rules...

Of course with our robust OFF-ROAD setup it wouldn't bother us at all. Now way would I miss NCIS on the HDTV hehe...

We've had it happen a number of times and it's almost always when it is hot and sticky.

I think the attitude is, they can enforce the generator rules, once they get the power back on.

I have to agree. My father used to pack for all eventuality's and I'm my fathers son. :R

If I lived more north, a generator can be an option, but here in Texas, a rig is not inhabitable without an A/C, and a generator to run it, so the generator does come along.
