A few thoughts. I teach high school and the kids are absolutely addicted to being online. They're losing the ability to hold a face to face conversation and I believe that the constant online also inhibits their critical thinking skills. That being said, I am a tech junkie as well. Agree on tech times and enforce them. Make sure there are activities for them to do when off the web. Rafting comes to mind - not a kid in the world that wants to dunk their cell phone in the water. Also, make sure you're somewhere with wifi and make them hook to wifi - or they will kill your cellular data usage (unless you have an unlimited plan).
