Bringing teenagers...leave tech at home or no?

Maybe I am old school (I'm 33), but I believe in "disconnecting" when camping. I mean from phones, internet, etc. The last GF and I had a no phone policy. We would bring them, but not use them. ...

I have a 10 and 8 year old. And they love the ipads...
However camping, they don't use them as much. When it is raining, we will play a game or two then let the kids have at the TV or iPads.
I am a really hands on dad. So much that people make fun of me. My most enjoyment comes from goofing off with my little knuckle heads. But I'm not gonna lie, there are those times when they pick up the iPad and I don't say anything as I know that is beer break time.....
