3. I think it's fair to say "No electronics during meals" - but otherwise, kids DO live on their electronics. So do many adults. And quite frankly, we fuddy-duddies aren't all that interesting to them - they DON'T want to hear campfires tales of "the good old days"; or watch Uncle Fred get drunk (or maybe they do and they're posting pictures....LOL!)
4. My favorite tactic is to ask questions: "who's your favorite friend to text?" respond to a giggle with "hey - share the joke!" or even show them something funny on YOUR phone. Share a little of your camping world - let them share a bit of their electronic world. You never know - they might actually be texting someone that they're having an awesome time!
