Broken frameless window

Need a little help on how to fix this. Have a Granddesign momentum 348 and just discovered a broken window in the garage. It is the one where
it is a 3 piece Frameless window made by Lippert. One large fixed piece of glass on top, and to small pieces on the bottom that open with the twist screw.
One of the small panes that open is broken, not sure how, maybe while on the road last trip. So, does anyone know if I can just
replace the one window pane? And do I have to remove the whole window or just the one piece of glass? Called GD but they are closed
till next week. Thanks all.

Have you tried asking over on the owners forum?

  • Glass Doctor was able to replace my broken pane on the same type of window. They made a new pane that is as close to original as they could get. The tint was slightly off and you could tell only in certain lighting conditions. They fixed it without removing the window at my house. They did need a few days in their shop to make the new glass. It has been trouble free for two years now. Good luck.
  • had a customer same trailer done the same thing just ordered a new window and put in his
  • A local glass shop should be able take care of this for you. Take the trailer to them and let them take care of it. Our local glass shop almost always has an RV there getting glass replaced.
  • Have a glass shop do this repair for you. The RV dealerships use them when you take it to the dealership. Cut out the middle man and go directly with the glass shop. Unless you have a large deductible,or don't carry appropriate coverages, your insurance should cover this for you.
  • Thanks everyone, no answers on the GD forum. I will call my local
    glass shop next week.
  • You might also check with Trekwood RV parts. Couldn't believe how many factory parts they had!! Not sure what size your window is but you'll probably have to email them for your make and model, I looked on their website for the same window design you have that's on mine and they have several listed depending on what size and tint you have.
I'm sure several manufacturers use the same window from the same company, again depending on size.

Were you able to just get the operable pane from Lippert, or did you have to obtain and replace the entire window. From what I have found with those morons even when you can get the "part", if they (Lippert)can actually find their own correct "part number", when it arrives it's wrong about 98% of the time.
  • Sorry the very late update, but I had to replace the entire window.
  • You may want to check with your insurance. The repair may be covered under your comprehensive coverage minus any deductible you may have.
