All kinds of things will take the bugs off easily. Trouble is, the acids, the chlorines & all of those other wonderous things remove the wax too, leaving the surface vulnerable to chalking & soaking up even more bug remains.
You pick your battles.
I prefer the high quality wax method which makes it relatively easy to remove bugs with a mild non wax removing soap. Of course applying such wax in the first place involves no small amount of work.
