You got that right Rich. I was in a 17 man ward in the VA and one guy, paralyzed from the waist down had them remove his legs so he could get around better, GUTSY.
Try holding on to what you've got. I don't think a artificial leg would work to well with a fused hip. You can get hand controls for driving. Heck I'm building a 3 wheel tadpole trike and they can be made with hand cranks in 3 and 4 wheel models.
I know all about other mussel groups and joints trying to compensate for your gait. A literal pain in the back. I hate taking medications but sometimes you've just got do it. Stay mobile my friend.
