The travel is limited to the distance between ground and the bottom of the door
You will need an additional isolation switch to shut the stairs in the retract position
I had a RV dealer install the unit to attach to the integral frame. Burr will tell you how many man hours should be charged.
The motor got wet once in a south Louisiana downpour and had to be rewound. Several weeks ago the switches in the top head got wet in another rain storm and took three days of west Texas dry to operate again.....keep it dry
Lastly, if the motor does poop out, it has an easy access port to operate with a portable drill and socket
