- colliehaulerExplorer IIII bought a 05 for guests/family to use at my seasonal site. I will have around 80 hrs in it when done. The salvage/rebuilt title will follow it forever. The purchase price was about half the value and I will have additional money for repairs/upgrades in it. You have to be very careful about hidden damage. I used the trailer rebuild for stress relief. I did not worry about resale since it was for others to use. I have seen some priced so high by the time you did repairs you could have bought a clean used camper for the same amount.
- Bucky_BadgerExplorerI had a friend get a good deal here

- M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerYou buy AS IS...will always have a salvage title always...try and find an insurance company that will insure an RV with a salvage title

- path1ExplorerI was very interested in a MH the had signs that read I believe "Bio Hazard". Several years ago I legally got rid of my old asbestos siding going using the EPA rules and watched a house up the street get cleaned out from a known crack house to being sold to a Customs agent. So I thought "Bio hazard" shouldn't be that bad. I posted here like you asking if anybody has done it before or what to watch out for. Got nothing but "don't do it" remarks. The MH was being auctioned at a regular towing yard that the police impounded. My assumption was the MH was used to make drugs. I was going to gut everything and rebuild. Talked to owner of towing yard after the sale. Turns out some guy shot himself in the MH and maybe 3 weeks later was discovered. Glad I passed. 2 summers ago a man died at our seasonal site campground and his son drove up to why his Dad didn't answer the phone and found him. The kids hired a carpet cleaning company and took it to a consignment sales lot. Somebody bought it. I'm still learning about salvaged titles and probally will get one someday. I've rebuilt 2 so far but water damage not major accident damage or body parts soaked into the woodwork. Web sites, after finding the one with Bio hazard I found http://www.copart.com/c2/copart_home_page.html You have to go thru a lot to find one close to you that you can rebuild. Here is link for my previous post talked about above.

I got a very good deal camped in it for 2 years sold it and made a couple grand. The deals are out there you just have to hunt for them, as for one of those FEMA trailers I would be very careful.
