Buying tow bar/base plate for towing, need anything else?

I am towing a toyota corolla from my class c motorhome. I know that I need to purchase a tow bar and base plate but do I need to buy anything else to make sure that the brake lights work on the car?

I don't know what year your Corolla is but this is from the 2015 Owners Manual Pg 158:

Dinghy towing (except vehicles with a manual transmission)

Your vehicle is not designed to be dinghy towed (with 4 wheels on the ground) behind a motor home.

NOTICE
To avoid serious damage to your vehicle Do not tow your vehicle with four wheels on the ground.
