- gboppExplorerIf you are bring it back to Pennsylvania, it will need to be licensed and titled in PA.
- stevewiseExplorerIf you buy through a dealer they should be able to register and title it in PA, that was how I did it when I bought a 5er in IN and registered it in FL.
- You will get a temp to get home with... I believe its a 30 day??
- mboppExplorerDB lives in NY but traded his 5er on another one while on vacation in Florida. The dealer took care of getting his NY registration transferred to the new trailer.
- buttetifulExplorerIt has to be in the state that you reside. Unless you can prove that you also live in Florida. You will also pay PA sales taxes and fees.
If you are able to register in FL, be aware that if the state finds out, they can sue you. It's been happening with a lot of CA residents that register their cars in Montana (no sales tax, and $191 to permanent register your trailer). The state will go after the resident for their tax money. - Tom_NExplorerIf you trailer will be in FL for more then 6 months a year it has to be registered in FL.

To register in PA get an "intansit" permit from FL. This permit will allow you to drive from FL to PA. When in PA you'll then be able to register/title in PA and pay the PA sales tax. - Chuck_GoodwinExplorerI should have mentioned that the trailer will never leave FL. It's a park model and will stay at our resort all year, on a campsite while we are there in the winter and in storage when we are away. So from the last post, it should be titled in FL but can I do that as a PA resident?

Since it will remain in Fl. it will be registered in Fl. Does not matter that you are a resident of Pa. Dealer can handle all paperwork. - DrewEExplorer IIIf it never leaves the resort property, do you even need it registered? That may be a question for the resort owners and/or a tax accountant.

It needs to be registered. Even mobile homes are registered and the state has a small army of people looking for violators.
And if you dont register it and dont get caught, when you try to sell it all the back taxes will be due with a penalty.
