Buying used RV as foreigner getting insured

Hello everybody,

I am an Dutch citizen and would like to buy a used RV from Cruise America. I want to register it in Montana via an to be established LLC.

My goal is to travel through the USA without any restrictions concerning garaging. I know I can get an insurance in a state, for instance Arizona, but only when I garage the RV in Arizona when I am not using the RV. The consequence of this is that I can  not travel wherever I want to,  because of the distances in the USA and have to come back to Arizona.

So I am looking for an insurance that does not have the garaging restrictions to enable me to have really free holidays.

Please find my an insurance company that enables me to travel  freely through the USA.

  • Attorney?  Lol

Assuming they know they need a B1/B2.

They should talk to insurance agents/companies. Far better chance of correct info than here!

Speaking more on the Montana LLC and temporary state residency than the insurance.

  • What purpose is the LLC? That will be a question. If it's a legitimate business that requires you to own and use an RV you should be ok. But Montana LLCs are scrutinized closer since everyone knows people were using them to avoid paying taxes in their home state. And how long will you be travelling? Without a semi-permanent address won't it be difficult to get a VISA? it's a challenge for sure. Even US residents trying to full time have to declare a permanent residency somewhere (stupid I know) but the governments want their fair share of your income and patriot act requires the government to know where you live. I would speak to an attorney that's familiar with such things.
