Why is there a difference between using the liquid and powder versions of calgon water softener for cleaning grey tank sensors.
weight. The powder weighs less - for the weight-conscious RVers.
I can’t seem to find the powder in any of the stores near me. Is there a good place to buy the powder?
Buy it online. Look for etailers where you get free shipping if buy XXX dollars worth of it. - wa8yxmExplorer IIIDifference between Powder and Liquid.. not worth mentioning.
Someone said "you have to dislove it in water first" if you use powder..No, just dump it in, and drive, it will dislove and mix in as you drive.
Makes no difference.. Powder is usually a bit less expensive, but not always. - brireneExplorerI don't use the geo method to do anything with the sensors; gave up on them long ago and rarely check them anyway.
- Ron35816ExplorerJust ordered Rain Drops brand (powder)from amazon, way cheaper then calgon, only complaint was it has a perfume smell, who cares right?

Not sure what you are doing wrong, but it fixed mine after many, many years of not working and they continue to work today. :h - 2oldmanExplorer II

I suspected as much.

I have never seen the powder, just the liquid.

We buy the powder (surprisingly) at our farm store. Might try that.
I'm going to talk to our Walmart and see if they can order it when they order the liquid.
Sometimes a grocery store will order a case, if you'll buy the entire case. Just a thought. - brireneExplorerSeems the powder is not readily available in parts of the country. I was lucky to find several large boxes for about 80% off a few years back when a store in Deadwood was going out of business. Still working with that stash.
