30 cents state tax for gas and 36 for diesel? Shoot, I should move out west. Here in PA the tax is 51.4 cents for gas and 44.62 cents for diesel.
Don't sell us short.....Its 58.2 and 74.7 for diesel. - LwiddisExplorer IIWe already have plenty of gasoline taxes for road work here in CA....we just don't spend them on road work. AND these new taxes won't go for roads in a couple of years either. GEE, if I can just through being in elected office without fixing the roads and streets...without fixing the water mains...without fixing.... Let the next guy/gal do it.

Diesel and Kerosene $0.242 per gallon
Liquefied Petroleum Gas $0.183 per gallon
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) $0.243 per gallon

All states include Federal motor fuel excise taxes then any state/local taxes are tacked on in addition - 2oldmanExplorer II

All well and good for you...For others, not so good, especially retirees on fixed incomes. Spiking fuel prices will limit travel...
I don't care. - down_homeExplorer IIOur Stats 10,000,000,000.00 fuel and other tax increase over 7 years goes to offset a 20,000,000.00 aviation fuel tax cut to Fed Ex exclusively, and a new sports stadium for the Mayor of Nashville, and or a raid transit system for Nashville, plus access and road projects for Developers near Oak Ridge, Knoxville, and other places, pay for a 200,000.00 increase in maintenance, to Gov's bud's firm in Chicago, and assorted goodies, in exchange for votes for the fuel tax increase.

Assume you mean "west of K" ... Parts of Oregon, Parts of Washington, all of Hawaii, and Parts of Alaska ... :) Just to answer the Q no one else did ... :) :) - Ed_GeeExplorer IIBe glad you don’t live in Canada. Up in BC the gas taxes are about $1.30 per gallon!
- big_jim_2Explorer III would happily pay the ten cent increases if the pot holes I drive on in Wi. every day would disappear!
- 4x4vanExplorer IIIAll of you in other states claiming that your gas taxes are even higher than CA; keep in mind that you STILL are paying significantly less $ per gallon than CA. Average nationwide cost of (regular) is currently $2.47, while in CA it is $3.04 (jumping to $3.16 tomorrow).
