We run a Valterra adjustable water pressure regulator and it's been great - never an issue and easily adjustable.
If you are worried, you can install a water filter system on your supply line. Our trailer came with a housing from Flow Pur, and we use a MAXVOC-975RV filter in it. It's a .5 micron filter that deals with lead.
