Lead is often added to brass. The brass fittings in your home probably contain some. You can look for lead-free options. They should be labeled.
The piping in mine is the same as in my house, right down to the brand and types of fittings. I check the pressure at the tap before I hook up. If it's astronomically over 80 or the park warns about variable/high pressure, then I'll just fill my freshwater tank and run off that rather than use a reducer. Otherwise, I hook up and don't worry about it.
