I have large fresh tank relative to the waste tanks, and these days I'll usually use tank water instead of hooking up hose. It keeps some circulation through the tank. It is consistent pressure, something I have found is not assured with city water from campground (such as complete stall when showering). I fill tank when needed. I use bottled drinking water.
I often don't use pressure regulator at all in the event I do hookup hose. I have gauge, check pressure and if OK I'll hookup. The pressure spikes caused by heating water in water heater are the elephant in the room. Best to install an expansion tank or let a faucet slowly drip when heating water. The so called air space in top of water heater is not sufficient or reliable.
