Being this is a "hot" topic lately that I'd share this. My Brother in law had his campfire going sun up to about 10:00 at night for 5 days. He is one of those that brings about 3/4 load of wood and for 5 days burns. That was 3 weeks ago. Today was the first day RV didn't smell like smoke. This year, I took a dryer sheets and hung them all around and put several on a/c to have air blown on sheets, really seemed to help. Worked better than Fre breeze. Kept rv door and windows open weather permitting.

Many folks are afraid of dinosaur attacks so they keep a fire burning 24/7.I'll bet your brother in law was not attacked by dinosaurs. You should have just given him the dryer sheets. They keep mice and dinosaurs away.

A camper does not smell right If it does not smell like campfire. You should always smell smoke when you open the door.

Make him build his fires down wind from you rig.I NEVER gave a thought to dinosaur attacks. Now I'll be constantly looking over my shoulder. I hope that's just a Pacific Northwest thing. Some of us flat landers are best left in the dark.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, WAIT....A.....MINUTE.I thought I only had to worry about BIGFOOT in the Pacific North West now I have to worry about Dinosaurs?I always have a campfire and the RV smells of it for days, just reminds me of camping for days after I get home, aw the sweet smell of the outdoors..............

When I open the RV door at home and it still smells like smoke, it reminds me of the good times on the road.

We love a campfire...always have them when reenacting because it's the only to have coffee and cook. Haven't had one yet with the mh, but will love it when we do. Love the smell, the ligt on a dark night...and if it keeps the dinasaurs, zombies and Sasquatches at bay, well that's an added bonus:-)

I like the smell of a campfire. Our problem is we are fulltimers so there are stretches that the smoke smell never goes away, then it gets a little old. From what I tell is that the weekend campers are going to have a fire even if it 90 degree's outside even if it kills them or they have to sit inside with the air on and watch it through a window because,, well ya just have to have a fire if your camping LOL!!!

Lets see trade the natural smell of campfire smoke for the chemical smell of dryer sheets, no thanks! Those things are forbidden in my house.
Airing out the RV has always been sufficient in our units.

The more smoke the better. Who needs a flame. The more smoke you have the more it drives the mosquitoes away.

We've had some neighbors, that liked to burn green wood. We could have smoked hams, in our windows. Tough to sleep when you are choking and trying to keep smoke out of your eyes.
Like campfires but not blowing smoke into the RV.

Sasquashes don't like camp fires. Might burn down their woods. That is the reason there is so much hollering when Campers come into the woods.
They now say Megaladon lives. Saw it on Tee Vee. Now that is where you need a campfire, a big one or maybe not. Might draw a 100 ft+ 80 ton plus fish to your skiff.
