Camp Hosting

Was not a positive experience for us. We were supposed to be campground hosts but when we showed up, they were not expecting us along with several other couples. We ended up cleaning 3 public bathrooms (a state public road ran through the state park) in the state park and we saw things we will not be able to forget. Two successive head rangers were fired while we were there and there were several major thefts-one was a 4 wheeler belonging to maintenance-while we were there. And our fellow volunteers were a racist group that we wanted nothing to do with. We stuck out our obligation since we were basically not supervised but would never do this again. Edited to add that this was at Georgia Veteran’s State Park in Georgia.
