Many people say avoid CA park host jobs. Rude, arrogant, forced to work long hours is what I have read. If you want a great experience, come to Oregon. Our park system is world class, and most of the rangers are really great to work with. Dont get me wrong, there are bad rangers, and horrible parks. But by and large oir park system and the rangers who run them are the best.
