CAMPGROUND PIGS
I've been visiting a lot of National Parks lately and have been astonished at how people trash the facilities, Specifically, the camp sink and restrooms. Camp sinks routinely have food scraps in them...

I see it all the time around here. Most Forest Service campgrounds are "PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT!" areas. There is no garbage service. Take it home with you! BUT, don't try to place it in the first dumpster you see when you get to town. You don't pay for the dumpster, you have no right to use it!
Oddly enough, the campgrounds are quite clean. Oh, yes, every now and then some tourist leaves a bag of trash sitting beside the road when they leave, thinking somebody will be along to collect it. Quite often, somebody notices, and stops them to make them go back and pick it up! It has happened that there was an identifying paper in the trash, and the bag was mailed to them.
The rules are posted. READ THEM, and follow them.
