Campground pricing.

And out of the $5000 they have to pay how many employees? How much is the electric bill? How much does the water and sewer cost? Upkeep and repairs? Taxes, fees, licenses etc.? Got to pay the mortgage and phone bills, got to advertise and pay a host of other expenses. Combine that with the fact that they are seldom full, have a short season and have to deal with the general public's various problems and needs on a daily basis and I think you will find that parks are not a magnet for investment by the rich and famous. People dream about being Rock stars, athletes and movie stars. Very few people dream about clearing sewer lines, cleaning public washrooms, picking up other people's trash and taking on the other daily tasks owning a campground entails. I, personally am glad they do, and I surely don't begrudge them earning a good living.
