Campground Rules

Was hunting on RV Parks Review for a Maine campground and looking at some campground websites.

Just saw the best campground rules. They are:

Common sense applies everywhere. Nonsense will not be tolerated.

Love the New England style of rules. I think that just about covers all situations!
  • When I stayed there a couple of years ago I was amazed to see not one tree being cut down and no cops dragging campers off in handcuffs. Most of the campers were not hiding in there rigs worried about what rule they may have broken. :E

In fact it was a very friendly place. The owner was very helpfull and would even deliver cooked lobster to your site! At a price of course.. I guess some might consider this total chaos.:W
  • can't a CG owner express a little humor on the CG map.

    Finally someone gets it.

You folks are wound a bit tight concerning this CG general rule........can't a CG owner express a little humor on the CG map.

    Must everything be so rigid.

Vast majority of folks were raised with common sense, know what is right and act accordingly.

Yes there are jerks....they stand out because they are NOT the norm.

Fortunately there are WAY more decent folks than the jerks.
Something we have been reminded of quite frequently as we travel.

This was never meant to be a serious discussion of what works and what doesn't. I have enjoyed reading all of the posts. We have been to campgrounds that give you 2 pages of rules and then don't have any enforcement.

I see many posts in RV Park Reviews where campers complain about too many rules, no enforcement, and where posters feel the rules are only applied to them.

Old Biscuit is right - most people are considerate and friendly. We often forget about them but the PITAs live on forever in our memory.
  • Sounds like my kind of place but then again we don't camp where there are rules. Common sense and the golden rule pretty much covers it all.
