Good question for those who say they "own" that land while they are there. I would not want to answer a lawsuit in which my dog bit someone cutting through the site.
Damaging someone else's property is different from cutting through a site. I would think the person causing the damage would be liable. But it seems many site agreements will warn about running cable, etc across the ground or from the trees.
