You "informed the campsite owner and the sheriff was called". So who technically had the person removed? You or the owner? I know I'm beating this to death but it goes back to who "owns" the site during occupancy.
Those who claim ownership of their sites seem to have disappeared from this thread.
I was the one who called the sheriff. I just informed the campsite owner of what I was going to do out of courtesy. The campsite owner was nowhere to be found and didn't converse with the sheriff when he arrived. I am the one who filed the complaint. The woman tried to tell the sheriff that she could stay because I was renting this space and I couldn't tell her to leave. The sheriff then told her that the agreement for this section of property was between myself and the owner of the campground. If her name wasn't anywhere on the agreement, then either myself or the campground owner could have her removed from my area.
I'm not a lawyer so I don't know if what the sheriff said was completely true and legal but I wasn't going to argue with him since he was removing a truly crazy woman from my area.
