Our local Good Sam chapter wants to see if we can come up with some more activities or fun games etc. to do at our outing and camping trips. What does your group do ? We can only have so many pot lucks and only have so many world changing discussions.We do play washer toss and goofie golf, but are looking for new ideas. Any ideas would be appreciated.

How about a Bags, aka Cornhole tournament? Great game!

How about a Scavenger hunt. A scavenger hunt is a game in which the organizers prepare a list defining specific items, which the participants, individuals or teams seek to gather all items on the list within a specific time. The goal is usually to be the first to complete the list.

The list included names or graphics on campers, unique dogs, funny lawn decor or lights, family names on plaques, etc. They had to specify the site number or other location where they found the item. This encouraged fun coversation with other campers, along with a little exercise for the teams. Stealing this idea someday!

Ladder Ball is a good one to add to your list.

That could be fun. Friends gave us a ring toss game for Christmas last year. It came with plastic bottles. We have used beer bottles instead. The person who rings the beer gets to keep it. :)

Our group hits a local winery some weekends for Saturday lunch. Since we camp in a different location each month it is a different winery.

We play cards a lot. Several of the guys in our group like to golf so they usually spend one of the days at the golf course. We also do "field trips". We try to visit historical sites or places we have not seen before. And, since we live in CA, we do a lot of wine tasting.

Pictionary is a fun group game. We keep a dry erase board & markers in our FW. We play the game in two teams. The only restriction is that we don't allow spouses to be on the same team.
