Camping overnight at Cabela's

Places like Cabelas & Walmart are almost invariably more expensive than a CG.

Anyone know the policy at the new store in Louisville Ky ?

I've stayed in the full hookup park at the Sidney Cabela's a couple of times. Not a bad price except when I considered purchasing the $119,000 shotgun they had on display. But my oh so practical and thrifty British Bride convinced me that $119,028.70 was a bit much for one night's camping.

stayed the night Cabela's in Lehi, Ut. There were signs stating that overnight camping was prohibited, but when I asked at the customer service desk they said it was fine and that they had security so we would be safe, and we were welcome to use the dump station. Great deal and nice folks.

I just called the store in Hammond ,In and they do NOT allow overnight stays. Every store has different local ordinances so a call is a good idea.

We prefer Cabela's over Walmart. Most Cabela's are quieter and most have dumps some even have potable available. They almost always have something on sale that is good.

We seldom pay for overnight space at a campground as they are out of the way and more then we need or want.

The Cabela's in Sidney, NE has a real RV park. W,E, and dump station. Private, lockable bathrooms with showers that are cleaned after each use. The Sidney store is the Flagship.
On one visit, I was talking to the guy at the door. Turns out, he was one of the originals. Their first location was on the second floor of a building in downtown Sidney. Mail order only. He told me how to find it. "Second floor of a building with a brown outside door on the second floor. A bunch of holes in it where we used to shoot arrows into it when we were bored." He wasn't kidding.

Dundee, MI location off US-23 has water and a dump station and has RVs there all the time...

Yeh, but what about all the times we go to Cabela's, Bass Pro and even Walmart,spend all that money and don't get the overnight parking!!!!!!
