- rockportrocketExplorerEasy to answer...............my pet peeve is public campgrounds. It appears they let just anyone come in and "camp".

I try to have an open mind, BUT I hate the smell of burning garbage in the surrounding fire pits! :E
I have found that I can block out and ignore just about everything. I like all kinds of music. I have 3 kids so children don't bother me. I have a dog, yours won't bother me. I can close my blinds so lights don't come it. I carry bags for my dogs poop. Sometimes the maze of the CG means folks have to go through a site, kids do it all the time.
But the smell of burning styrofoam and plastic nauseates me. I get a headache from it. That unfortunately is very hard to ignore and can be very difficult to hide from. - DiskDoctrExplorer

Sums it up nicely.
X2!
Cigarette smoke is a biggie for us. For some it is like marking their territory. It comes from inside another person's body. It's offensive and causes me a headache and sinus issues. Campfire smoke isn't a problem mostly (except for the low smolder that I think bothers most others, too), but there is something quite different about cigarettes.
We have a HTT and like to keep our windows open. If we are outside, it's disturbing. If we smell it inside our own RV...inexcusable.
If you want to smoke, it's your choice. But remember, most people do not enjoy sharing it with you. Just because they may tolerate it doesn't mean they enjoy it.
Remember, if you are smoking, it is YOUR responsibility to consider where your smoke is going. I wouldn't park my big diesel rig in front of your site with the tailpipe pointing right at you and idle it for hours, stinking up you and your rig. That would be rude.
So smokers...be kind. Keep it down wind and try to keep it to a minimum when around others. It really is appreciated!

Had a guy this weekend get stupid with me when I asked him to leash his dog so I could walk mine past safely. - SDcampowneroperExplorerFrom the other side.
Pet peeves, in our camp.
Unattended dogs left In, or out. . Often the owner does not know how they bark at everything when they are left alone.
Driving or parking on grass unnecessarily
mats on grass.
Cutting wiener sticks from bushes or trees
Charcoal Grills on picnic tables or on grass
Sunflower seed shells
Trash in fire pits
Most important is anyone using the pool alone, without a parent or buddy.
We can clean up the dog poo, educate noise makers, mark paths to washrooms.
What we cannot do is restore the trees , grass in a day ,
or the life of a child anytime. - Reader1ExplorerWe really have only had a couple negative experiences after 35 years of camping...but my biggest pet peeve is the weekend or vacation ending too quickly and having to go home - ticks me off!

Mine is relaxing at the campsite on a cool quiet evening after a long day of activities and somebody walks into MY campsite unannouced and uninvited asking me how I like my truck. I politely reply how I love it and it does the job well.
Then he starts preaching how it's not enough truck, I should expect problems, he knows somebody who knows somebody who has taken theirs to the shop so many times, bla, bla, bla. I should have looked at the Dodge diesel, that engine bla, bla, bla...
Give me a break!
Well, Ford does seem to be having their share of problems with their Ecoboost engines. My son has one, loves the truck and might like the engine if they could get it to run right.
Had the same experience when out with my Ecoboost. Blah Blah Blah.
There's 4 of us in the neighborhood with Ecoboost ranging from 11's to 13's and none of us have any problems. My buddy is the service manager at the local Ford garage and it seem the issues that plagued the new engine when first produced have been mostly worked out. - mark5wExplorer

But sometimes the sky is green! You should head for your storm cellar at that time...
