We don't leave our RV if they are ordering parts, unless the RV can't be driven. We stay in a nearby RV park until the parts come in. Once they receive the parts and are ready to work on it, if it's going to take more than one day, we stay at night in a nearby hotel and take our valuables with us.
During the day when they are working on it, we hang out at the customer lounge and therefore can check on the status of the repair.
We have been to many RV facilities where they either complete the work in one day or they pull the RV out of the bay and allow us to spend the night. These companies really care about their customers and understand full timers.

Once you go full time you gain the knowledge that many weekend campers sadly just don't have access to/experience with. AND IMHO many do get taken advantage of when it comes to repairs.
Trust me unless you pipe up your RV will take a back seat in the back lot for those dreaded (not true) words 'have to wait 2 weeks for parts'. It's been my experience that an RV mobile repair guy can get any RV part locally or within a day shipped overnight if needed. So there is not reason a dealership can't. They are just jammed up with service appts so it's just move back the guy that needs parts.
Those that know how it works get their coaches serviced, parts ordered/received in a timely manner AND onsite accommodations offered when needed in record time.
To the OP: It is a given that when you leave ANY vehicle anywhere you take your valuables with you. :R
A MH is no exception. All the p & m'ing and get an attorney talk is just pure nonsense. You left it and lost it and it's really your fault for not being prudent about not leaving your valuables in the vehicle. Just saying.
