Thank you for your note. The "false neutral" I think is a name given a position on the transfer case, not marked, between the 4 wheel drive and the 2 wheel drive but completely takes the vehicle out of gear. Even when shifted into drive the vehicle will not move. But does that mean it can be safely towed? That is the question.
