We try to time eating stops and camping to miss many big cities early and late heavy traffic.
Wife does most of the driving. I do as much watching as she does in these places.
Try to keep a long interval and move with the traffic. Slower will cause back ups and problems. Going faster is obviously out of the question in these places.
Semis offer a big problem, sometimes they signal but just like everyone else many/ most times in such areas or ever they don't. We have to stand on the brakes, in the coach or in the cars. Some seem to resent RVers being on their road. We had two deliberate pull overs on us that could have caused massive wrecks by semis in Atlanta a few years ago.
Just have to turn on some easy listening music and ignore bozos. When you do get your fill use that train horn. If it loud enough they might her it 80 ft ahead. Don't scare the kiddies in the cars though.
