You can still get a lot of info from CarFax. How many owners, how many states it was registered in, how many miles, has it been on auction block. It can still paint a picture of a hard or easy life even without 100% repair info showing up.
Don't think you get the "picture" being painted!.:R.
CarFax - one owner. Reality = four
States - 0ne. Reality = two (underwater in LA?)
Miles - 30K. Reality = 130K
Auction - no. Reality = yes, prob with speedo rolled back.
By then - what the hey does *any* repair/s matter?
CA (on the news) had problems of CarFax generating bogus info - by/for dealers - to close deals(?).
BTW - "AGC" (the OP) bet CarFax will be happy to take your $ for a report.
For a MH - run the VIN via your PD & the mfgr.
If you can't do a thorough inspection yourself, hire an appraiser, drive line mechanic, and/or mobile RV repair person to do it for you.
Money well spent - way better than relying on CafFax.

I'm guessing there is more to your story then meets the eye. If what you are saying is true, then Carfax would be out of business pretty fast.
I would think Carfax would love it if you followed up with the buyback option, assuming everything is on the up and up with your purchase. Or is this another of those French model stories. :R
