Can I run a Carfax on a Class A MH

Most often I have found CarFax has wrong or missing information. Therefore unreliable with out further investigation. Don't rely on CarFax as the only source of information.

It is just another form of hype to be used by car lots. I ran one on my own car which had the entire passenger side sheet metal replaced. It showed nothing. The car had been repaired to like new, but still there should have been a record of the repair.

Bought a 1995 Saturn in 2007 from my sister in law, that she had purchased new. It only had 12K miles on it. CarFax reported it as 112K miles and refused to change their records, even though we have records from the Saturn dealer showing it's only 4 oil changes. Haven't even bothered getting one of their reports since.

Ran one on mine and it showed that it was a rental, which it was.

So a title search will work on them.

Carfax only reports what is sent to it. I would not rely just on it. If you are concerned about a clear title I would try your DMV if in your state. If you are concerned about repairs I would not rely totally on it........ We had a car that carfax said there were no accidents we actually found out is was actually two cars front & rear.

just remember carfax onky can report things logged about the rv. I did this on a sprinter MH carfax said clean. but talking to the sales guy it did have some major repairs. SO I went to my sprinter dealer he ran the vin number and it was in a wreck had the motor repaired and damage repaired NEVER A THING ON CARFAX.

Yes. As I recall you can enter the vin number and it will show you how many "reports" it can find. Then you pay. I have found it cheaper to buy the annual if I'm going shopping as you can then enter as many as you need. They may have changed though.
