can I tow this 5th wheel?
I'm looking at a 2007 holiday rambler 28rld 5th wheel. It is listed to have a GVRW of 12,400lb. It's hitch weight listed as 2,050. It's dry weight is 8,545lb.
My truck is a 2009 Ford F250 Super Duty V8 5.4L. It has a max towing of 11,300lb and the yellow sticker inside the driver door says the combined weight of occupants and cargo should not exceed 2,509lbs.
As a side note, what do you guys think about a motorcycle carrying hitch mount on the back of the 5th wheel? Any words of advice are appreciated. I don't know how a 5th wheel effects payload. I was planning on doing a travel trailer but Camping World said they have welded motorcycle hitches on the back of 5th wheels before.
I told them I had to do my research and I'd get back to them.
Thanks. Dan.
PS sorry for any typos. I'm doing this on a mobile phone.
