Since you got two different bits of advice on the amps you'll get from the dogbone adapter.
50 was the correct answer!
A 50A service will actually give you 100A....since you have two separate 50A breakers with 110VAC on each side.
As was mentioned, the dogbone will be safe, and you will only use what your RV will allow, with it's own breakers (say 30A)
A lot of people think that the Amperage is the voltage flowing into the RV, which it isn't. You draw the power from the source.....so since you have a 30A RV, generally, you will only draw 30A....no matter how large the amperage rating is.
A lot of folks like to plug into the 50A service outlets, because they are usually newer, and the connections will be better (and less line loss)....but you will often pay extra for that service, but it's up to you.
