Can I use a 50 amp connection for my 30 amp RV?

Probably a dumb question. I locked up a reservation at SILVER STRAND SB, CA. Let me just say reservations for 5 nights in early July on the beach is tough, so I was in a hurry. Anyway, Reserve Amer...

Pet peeve here...JUST SAYING 30 amps or 50 amps is only 1/2 the story.

A 30A hook up is a 30A 110 Volts. With a 50 amp, there's 240 volts present in the normal household situation of two 50 amp 120 volt legs with 240 volts between them. (Ok, the household is more like two 100 or 200 amp 120 volt legs)

To JUST SAY a 50 amp hookup is playing a jargon-secret-code game- and why folks so often get it wrong.
