Can I use a 50 amp connection for my 30 amp RV?

Can you plug a 30 amp RV into a 50 amp outlet?
With the proper adapter, YES

What about the voltage/current differences

The adapter takes care of all that

Can you plug a 50 amp RV into a 30 amp outlet See above however there are some limits on how much power you can use (30 amp obviously) I'm doing it as I type.
