The "dog bone" will give you 25 amps not 30 as it uses one leg of the 50 amp service. Most places that offer 50 amp service also have a 30 amp plug in the service box. Noted. I don't have a surge protector. I should probably invest in one.
I have been RV ing for 32 years without a surge protector without any problems. Just lucky I guess after about 5000 nights on the road.
be sure to let us know that one time when you get bitten in the rear by some electrical problem.
