Can't use outside speakers without inside being on help

I have a 2017 keystone carbon 357 it has speakers in the main living area, in the garage, and outside but I only have switched that say outside and garage. I am trying to be able to listen to music outside when the kids are sleeping inside is there something I am missing.

  • I have a 2017 Outback (made by Keystone). We may have the same media/radio unit. If we do, it will look like 3 buttons at the top (that turn blue when on). Those control the zones for the radio/speakers. Zone 1 is inside living area, zone 2 is bedrooms and zone 3 is outside. By pressing those buttons, I am able to turn zones on and off.

    I hope this helps.
  • In our old destination trailer we did have outside speakers, but had the same issue when kids wanted to take naps - it was loud enough inside due to the relative lack of insulation.

    We bought one of these:

  • Possible there is a rocker switch at, or near the door, to activate the outside speakers?
  • If you can't figure out how to separate the speakers, use a simple bluetooth speaker while your kiddos are napping.

I would just run it off for a while when your outside. Enjoy the quiet.

It's not just for the night, I have small children so if they are taking naps during the day I would like to be able to hear music outside and not have it inside

Living room always stays on, than I can add the garage or outside to it
  • If the stereo has a front and rear speakers setting, you could just try turning off the front speakers on the stereo.

  • Are you saying the living room works alone, but only other switch puts music to garage and outside at same time? Not quite following your description of switch options.
