Cape Cod Canal positions

We have worked here the last 2 years and are going back this year. They say they don't get enough applicants, so thought I would post this.
If you like fishing, biking/walking trails on the water, boats and great weather, maybe you should contact Corps of Engineers at Cape Cod Canal.
You bid on the job, so you are paid, and get free full hook up site.
Enjoy.

This is a link to Canal overview with a contact number. The Ranger who was in charge of us last year is having knee surgery. Just ask who to speak to.

You bid on the job, so it is a paid position and you are hired as a private contractor. Work 3days 1 week, 4 the next. (3-8:00 is free time)
We open rest rooms 8:30 and close them at 8 pm. (Times vary alittle with season)
You drive a Gator 3 miles on the canal and pick up any trash (hardly any). You also answer any questions and help anyone who needs it.
We call a Ranger for any issues. (Roller blader broke her arm last year, and we called a Ranger)
We do NOT enforce anything, we call a Ranger.
Yes, we clean the restroom at closing and check on it during the day. We found the public very good and did not have any issues with this as baths are clean buildings.
We empty trash cans in the parking lot. Other than the 4-6 week peak, this is only 1 ce a day.
This is not a hard job to us but as always some people make this sound like rocket science!
We fished everyday and came home with almost 150 lbs of striper. We also had lobster traps in the canal, so we enjoyed lobster 2-3 times a week! ( need license etc)
I enjoyed bird photography, safe bike riding, reading, watching boats and luxury yachts go by, etc.
Please, if you DO NOT like the public, DO NOT apply.

Always wanted to visit Cape Cod and wouldn't mind working. We have done work for COE before. Can you give us an idea of what the job entails and hours expected.
