If you are looking to get a pull TT, not a 5er, watch the VEHICLE (not the receiver, the VEHICLE) tongue weight spec. No doubt it varies by year, but in 2010 the F150 tongue weight spec was 1130#. Since you need at least 13% of FULLY LOADED TT on tongue, your max FULLY LOADED TT weight in that case would be 8692#. Tongue weight specs are typically the limiting factor.
