- RollnhomeExplorerWe use Resolve. You shake it on, brush it in, let set, then vacuum. Does a great job if the carpets are not "too far gone". The Resolve spray on works good for spot cleaning. If really bad I would use an extraction steam type cleaner.
- oldmattbExplorerREntal machine from grocery store or Lowe's. Get the hand tool - you will need it a lot.
We have done this while traveling. Clean the floor, set AC on max, and have a long dinner out.
Matt B - byronljExplorerThe first time we cleaned ours it seemed to get dirty even quicker. We now use Scotch Guard and the carpet stays clean for much longer. I think we use 3 or 4 cans which isn't cheap.
Dave - scbwrExplorer IIWe cleaned the carpet in our TT using our Hoover carpet cleaner machine and it worked great for 10 years. And, applying Scotchguard afterwards is a good idea.
- bobjogoneExplorerWe use carpet cleaner and then the system on "Dry" Mode to pull the leftover water out.
- donn0128Explorer IIWe have a little green machine that is in the trailer all the time. Does a great job although you need to be on your hands and knees to use it takes maybe 20 minutes to do everything. It is also great for spot cleaning when necessary.
- wcjeepExplorerAnyone can spray water. The magic is the vacuum created to suck up the water. This is why commercial units are better than small residential units. I have a Mean Green commercial unit I bought for home use. Our home carpets are nearly dry when I'm done. For RV use only I'd rent one.
- Dave_H_MExplorer IIsince we have pets we own a carpet cleaner which we use in the stick house.
I just lug it out and do the camper carpets after a winter's worth of neglect except for vacuuming. - rhagfoExplorer III

Dave
Just use clean hot water, will do a great job cleaning, and not leave a residue on the carpet to attract dirt. - anon125Explorerhubby is wary of having a wet/damp carpet in the MH. damage?
thanks all
