how to clean carpeted ceiling?

I used a mixture of 50/50 bleach and water in a spray bottle. Sprayed it on and came back in a few hours and the stain was gone.

I could not locate Spot Shot but I used Resolve and it worked great. The directions on the can were easy to follow and "resolved" my problem.

Yep. Too wet and the stain will simply spread. It's a fine line.

You can use a spot remover/carpet cleaner in a spray bottle but DO NOT soak it. The brown colour likely comes from getting the luan plywood backing very wet, a very common occurrence when the RV seams/roofs develop a leak.

Spot Shot spray has worked well for me, removing the brown stain and cleaning. Spray on, let soak a bit, blot off using a paper towel or a small carpet cleaner with suction.

you can actually hire a professional carpet cleaner to do this. They'll use bio breakup chemcials and steam to clean the ceiling.

I recently purchased and used spot shot found at Walmart which worked wonderfully on my stained roof. One application worked but did a 2nd application to make it perfect.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had already used Eternabond on the front roof moulding and finally had to do the rear as well. It is not a very well engineered design. I have a bowl of OxyClean but it doesn't seem to dissolve in water very well. Am I not using hot enough water or even not enough water period? I will also try to locate Resolve.

My Satellite mount leaked a few weeks ago in heavey rain and I let it dry out after the roof repair and used (Resolve) spray on spot carpet cleaner and wow it's just like new and the stain was an ugly brown color. Just spray it on and wipe in with a paper towel and re-apply when it drys.

I had the same problem with the same fabric in a Bounder. Oxyclean is simple to use. Mix some up with hot water in a small spray bottle. Spray it on the stain; not difficult at all to spray up. Wait five minutes. Use an upholstery wand with a rug shampooer to spray more fluid on the ceiling and then suck it all out. Ezee peezy.
