Carpet Repair

I have a "new" ('08 Cruiser that had been pulled app. 3000 miles when I got it) 5th Wheel and noticed on second trip in it that the binding on the carpet in the slide was coming loose, looks like a bad job of sewing it on. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix it? Had it in shop for minor repairs and they suggested that I would have to take it to an upholstery shop and it would have to be removed to have it sewn back on. Just wondering what other alternatives do I have? Hot glue it back to keep carpet from raveling?
