Back when I owned and operated El Paso Speedway Park, I was sued 7 times, all by people who screwed up. Some of them were drivers who had signed the waiver and release form which was drawn by "Philadelphia lawyers". Yes, the insurance premiums were high, but our lawyers never lost a case. But, I paid for it (in a way), because many of the participants and fans blamed me anyway. THAT'S when I started leasing the facility (to racers). It served them right...:B
THAT'S when I went back to commercial flying (getting paid for something I would do for free). And, I was still collecting rent.
BTW I too was criticized for "having too many rules".
