In the many many years of riding bikes, I have yet to ever see a bad head injury or really any kind of head injury. I have seen lots of skinned elbows, skinned knees, skinned knuckles from riding too close to a fence or a wall.
Let me make the decision to wear a helmet don't force me to do something that is designed to CYA.
I agree. I have been riding bicycles since the early 1950s. In the late 1950s, when in high school, I even rode my bike to school instead of taking the bus; 7 miles one way, on a 2 lane U.S. highway! Back then, bike helmets hadn't been invented yet.
I have also encountered a "Two Pet Rule". "What, you have 2 indoor cats, and a dog? NO, you can not stay here!" I did not argue, I just did not make reservations.
Then there was the "NO firearms in your RV" rule. Believing that what was in my RV, as long as it was legal, is none of their business, I did not stay there, either. At the time, I did not have any firearms with me, I just didn't like their rule!
THAT is the beauty of being in an RV: It is on wheels, and we can just get on down the road. We do not HAVE to give any RV park our money, if we don't like the way they do business!
